The IRG is a grant internally funded annually by the Office of Vice President for Research, Graduate Studies, and Intenational Programs. This year, 42 applicants submitted their proposals. The review panel, consisting of NMSU researchers, research deans, and OVPR personnel evaluated the proposals based on the following criteria:
- Technical merit of the proposed research
- Potential impact of the proposed research on the University's research programs and national visibility
- Potential for future funding and sustainability After reviewing all the proposals, the panel members ranked them and recommended projects for funding.
